Noodle is a micro-break app made by Celeste Torres, operating under the name Loafing Labs. This page explains, plainly, what information Noodle collects, why, and what your options are. We kept the jokes out of this one on purpose — you deserve a straight answer here, not a bit.
Noodle does not have user accounts, does not show ads, and does not sell your data — ever. We collect a small amount of technical information to make the app work and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used. None of it is linked to your identity, and none of it is used to track you across other apps or websites.
| Data type | What it is | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase History | Records of your Noodle Pro subscription purchase, handled through Apple's App Store | To unlock Pro features and manage your subscription |
| Device ID | An anonymous identifier for your device (not your name, email, or Apple ID) | To enforce fair-use limits (like daily AI content caps), keep your favorites and seen-content list working, and verify Pro status |
| Product Interaction | Basic, anonymous usage data — e.g. that a button was tapped | To understand which parts of Noodle are working well and which need improvement |
None of this data is linked to your identity, and none of it is used to track you. Apple's App Privacy label for Noodle reflects this: "Data Not Linked to You."
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Noodle. Each only receives the minimum data needed to do its job, and each is contractually and technically required to protect that data to at least the same standard described in this policy:
We do not share data with advertisers, and we do not use any of the above services for cross-app tracking.
Pro subscribers may occasionally receive content generated by an AI system (Anthropic's Claude, with OpenAI's GPT-4o mini as a backup). Generating this content does not involve sending any personal data — only the content type and a short list of previously shown items, so the AI avoids repeating itself. No user data is used to train any AI model.
Most of Noodle's data — your favorites, your seen-content history, your settings — lives locally on your device, not on our servers. It stays there until you delete the app. The anonymous device ID and related usage data held by our service providers is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, and is never linked back to you as a person.
Noodle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since Noodle has no accounts, sign-up, or personal data collection of any kind, there is nothing for a child (or anyone) to hand over in the first place.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't make changes that reduce your protections without making that clear.
